Best4Balls - Best Sellers
At best4balls we have a large selection of golf balls to suit golfers of all abilities.
Here is a small list of our best-selling golf balls, which you can find in our brands and also in the budget, mid-range and premium categories.
Budget golf balls:
Zoom golf balls - We have our own Zoom branded golf balls which are a 2-piece construction.
These are excellent quality golf balls, manufactured by one of our suppliers outside the UK. They perform similar to a standard 2-piece range balls so the overall distance is excellent.
They will feel fairly firm so if you’re looking for a softer feel ball, it’s maybe not for you. The trajectory of the golf ball is excellent, performing similar to most standard 2-piece ball.
This ball have been in our range for many years and offers great value for money.
Srixon Distance – This golf ball is a popular budget golf ball manufactured by one of the leading ball manufacturers Srixon.
We have stocked the Distance golf balls for many years and it’s our most popular golf ball for beginners and high-handicap golfers. It has a 2-piece construction with large core and a thin Ionomer cover.
It may feel softer than other 2-piece budget golf balls, due to the soft outer layer.
The spin will be low with a driver and irons, designed to give you maximum distance. If you are looking for a ball that offer more spin, you should try our mid or premium range golf balls.
The durability is excellent and it’s a great value golf ball.
Callaway Warbird - Another popular budget golf ball manufactured by one of the leading ball manufacturers Callaway.
The Warbird golf balls are a popular choice for beginners and high-handicap golfers who are loyal to the Callaway brand. Like the Srixon Distance it has a 2-piece construction with a large core and a thin cover.
The spin will also be low with a driver and irons, designed to give you maximum distance. The launch (trajectory) will be high, making it easy for high-handicap golfers to get the ball up in the air.
The dimples on the golf ball are unique to Callaway, as they have their own HEX dimples for the best aerodynamics.
The durability is also excellent, offering you great value for money.
Mid-Range golf balls:
Srixon AD333 –These are our most popular mid-range golf balls, offering excellent value and performance.
The AD333 was launched in 2014 by Srixon and over a few years it soon became the no1 choice for mid-handicap players. Like the Srixon Distance ball the AD333 has a 2-piece construction but it will feel much softer and offers more control.
The ‘control’ is the spin of the golf ball, which is low with the driver for extra distance and offers mid-spin around the greens. Please try our premium golf balls if you require a higher spin ball with more control.
The AD333 also offers excellent durability and value for money.
We would recommend the AD333 golf ball for mid-handicap players around 12-20 handicap.
Titleist Trufeel–Another very popular mid-range golf ball, from the no1 ball manufacturer in the world.
The Trufeel is slightly more expensive than the AD333, so maybe not as good value for money.
We would recommend the Trufeel golf ball for mid-handicap players around 12-20 handicap.
Callaway Supersoft– Another very popular mid-range golf ball from Callaway, in very attractive packaging.
Similar to the Srixon AD333 and Trufeel it also has a 2-piece construction , soft feel and good control around the greens.
So which ball is best?? We have tested these three mid-range golf balls thoroughly and the results are similar.
The launch (trajectory) differs slightly, the spin is also similar and so is the durability.
The biggest factor could be the price, or maybe the aesthetics of the packaging or actual golf balls.
Whichever golf ball you chose, you shouldn’t be disappointed in the performance and price.
Premium golf balls:
Titleist ProV1 golf balls – This golf ball has been the no1 choice for low handicap golfers and Professionals for over 20 years. Titleist also produce the ProV1x golf balls which perform slightly different, and are also very popular on tour and with amateur golfers.
The ProV1 was first launched in 2020 and offered more durability to the standard premium golf balls. Prior to the ProV1 golf balls, most golf ball had a softer outer cover, which could easily be damaged during play. The more durable Titleist ProV1 soon became a no1 choice as it really did last a full round or more.
Construction – The ProV1 has a 3-piece construction with a large core, high flex casing layer and a soft Urethane layer.
The ProV1x golf ball has a 4-piece construction with a duel core, plus the same high flex casing layer and a soft Urethane layer.
Trajectory – The Titleist ProV1 is designed to give a low ball flight trajectory, which can increase distance with a driver. Sometimes better players swing steep creating too much spin, which is why the ProV1 is often the preferred golf ball. The Titleist ProV1x golf ball launches slightly higher and offers slightly lower spin rates.
Feel – The Titleist ProV1 will feel fairly soft, especially compared to other premium balls (including the ProV1x). Most manufacturers now produce two models of premium golf balls, TaylorMade TP5 and TP5x, Callaway Chrome Tour and Chrome TourX, Srixon Z-Star and Z-StarX etc. to suit all golfers.
The durability of tour golf balls improves every year, and the latest models will last much longer than golf balls produced a few years ago.
TaylorMade TP5 golf balls – These golf balls are the first 5 piece golf balls to be launched by any other major manufacturers.
Construction – The TP5 and TP5x golf balls have a smaller core and then 4 wrapped layers, including a similar Urethane cover to other premium golf balls.
We have tested these golf balls against other premium golf balls and the results are impressive. They offer excellent distance and control and here is some extra information on the TP5 v’s the TP5x:
Distance – The both offer excellent distance but the TP5X will launch higher, feel firmer and delivers more distance off the tee.
Flight and spin – The TP5x has a higher ball flight with a driver and a lower spin rate. This makes the TP5 and better choice for players looking for extra spin around the greens. The balls will also feel slightly softer, which some players prefer.
Chrome Soft golf balls – Callaway have three types of golf balls but the Chrome Soft is our most popular. The other two models are the Chrome Tour and Chrome TourX.
Similar to the Titleist ProV1, the Chrome Soft are a 3-piece construction with a large core, a casing layer and soft Urethane outer layer. The new Chrome Tour and TourX have a 4-piece construction with an extra mantle layer.
The Chrome Soft may feel softer than most premium golf balls due to the compression, construction and softer cover. The spin is excellent with irons, so they offer excellent control around the greens.
All of the above premium balls are excellent golf balls at premium prices. Do your research and you should be able to work our which golf ball is best for your game. Sometimes is just a personal preference with brands but we would advise having a golf ball fitting if you’re a low handicap player or better.
